Revivals

The work "Revivals" explored my identity through the act of contextualizing and recreating photographs from my family archive. I intended to emulate the tangible element of the original photos and insert myself into my family history. I really wanted to bring these photos to life in order to highlight the importance of holding memories and ephemera, as well as acknowledge the similarities within our lives. This work was a physical manifestation of my family's archive, as well as my own personal insertion in recreating the visual media. I wanted to highlight similarities between our lives; therefore, I paired my personal imagery with theirs as a way of expressing continuity.
